About Home Room Planner
Most renovation tools are either too simple to be useful or too complex to bother learning. Professional CAD software takes weeks to master. An interior designer costs thousands. And half the time, you just want to know whether the three-seater will fit.
Home Room Planner is the tool we wished existed: accurate 1:1 dimensions, real floor plans, and detailed 3D furniture you can drag, resize and arrange in seconds — in a browser tab, for free, without creating an account.
Who it's for
- Homeowners planning a renovation, a new kitchen or a furniture refresh.
- Renters and people moving house working out what will fit in a new place before moving day.
- Buyers picturing an empty listing furnished, or comparing two floor plans.
- Students and hobbyists learning the basics of space planning.
What we believe
- Free means free. No trial, no paywalled features, no watermarks. The site is supported by a few ads on our guide pages; the planner itself stays ad-free.
- Your designs are yours. There are no accounts and we don't store your rooms on our servers — they stay in your browser. See our privacy policy.
- Real measurements. Everything is at true scale in metres, and our guides give the clearances and sizes designers actually use.
What's new and what's next
We're building Home Room Planner in phases. It currently includes 120+ furniture items including detailed 3D models, a 2D floor plan editor, partition walls, floor zones, two-storey homes with stairs, saved projects, room photos, and .glb export for VR. On the roadmap: more furniture models, an in-browser VR walkthrough on Meta Quest, and sharing designs by link.
