The short version

Home Room Planner runs in your browser. There are no accounts and we don't receive or store your room designs. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and Google AdSense to show ads on our content pages; both use cookies, as described below.

Information we collect

Your designs. Rooms you build stay on your device. If you save a project, it is stored in your browser's local storage on that device only. We never see it. Clearing your browser's site data deletes saved projects.

Usage data. We use Google Analytics to collect aggregated information such as pages visited, approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type, and how long visits last. This helps us see which features and guides are useful. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to do this.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to display ads on our guide and information pages, which keeps Home Room Planner free. The planner itself does not show ads.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• We only use standard display ad units — no pop-ups, pop-unders or full-screen interstitials.

Your choices

• Opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings.
• Opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.com.
• Opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The planner keeps working without them, though saved projects need local storage.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you may be asked for consent before personalised ads or analytics cookies are used.

Children's privacy

Home Room Planner is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
